July 7 - World Chocolate Day 🍫

World Chocolate Day, also known as International Chocolate Day, is an annual celebration of chocolate that takes place on July 7th every year. The day is dedicated to honoring the history, cultural significance, and culinary delights of chocolate.

Idea: Send your employees some chocolate treats from local businesses! A win-win for your employees and the local community!

July 11 - World Populace Day  🕊

This day outlines the importance of population trends that are affecting our world today. This annual celebration was inspired by the “Five Billion Day”, which was a day to celebrate the earth hitting a population of five billion people. But with the population now at seven billion, we want to specifically realize the struggles women have regarding family planning and poverty.

Idea: Teach the importance of World Populace Day to your friends, family, or team, and donate to organizations that will help tackle our population issues!

‍July 16 - National Ice Cream Day 🍦

National Ice Cream Day is an annual celebration in the United States that takes place on the third Sunday of July. It was designated by President Ronald Reagan in 1984 to honor the popularity of ice cream and its contribution to the economy. On this day, people enjoy their favorite ice cream flavors and many businesses offer discounts and promotions on ice cream products.

Idea: Give your employees an UberEats gift card to get some ice cream!

July 18 - International Nelson Mandela Day 🌟

Nelson Mandela Day is celebrated every year to celebrate and shine a light on Nelson’s legacy. He shows us the power of resisting oppression, dignity over humiliation, forgiveness over hatred, and of justice over inequality.

July 21 - Junk Food Day 🍪

Every year on this day you can enjoy endless junk food favorites without feeling guilty as you are simply celebrating a special day! Bring out all of your favorites and treat yourself!

Idea: Send your employees a credit to Uber Eats or Instacart so they can order their favorite junk food treats to enjoy on this day. On Slack or MS Teams, you can also create polls to see what the top junk food treats are or a channel to share pics of everyone’s fun treats!

July 23 - Parent’s Day 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

On this day, we want to honor all the hard work that our parents/caregivers have put into taking care of us and watching us grow into the people we are today! The love they give us is unbeatable and we want to show how appreciative we are of them on this special day.

This day signifies the scientific advancement and medical technique of IVF and celebrates the ability to help various couples with infertility. It has been over 40 years since the first baby was born via IVF.

You can also choose to empower related ERGs to host private panels and conversations - and provide support through budgets for books, resources, a meal, or snacks.

Ultimately, ensure this will be a safe space for employees to talk about their stories and offer a listening ear.

July 26 - National Disability Independence Day 💛

National Disability Independence Day commemorates the day that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed in 1990. This act protects those with disabilities to avoid employment discrimination.
