2022 was a year that continued challenging people and culture leaders to keep employees engaged and connected. Learning from the previous year, people teams honed in on strategies for remote and hybrid work in internal events and communications. Globally, people leaders are working hard to meet employees where they were, wherever that may be.
Epoch designed a survey with the goal of understanding how people teams navigated the ever-changing work environment of 2022 and what engagement plans look like for 2023. We heard from directors, senior managers, team leads, and global leaders in the employee experience, learning and development, engagement, workplace, internal communications, and diversity, equity and inclusion space.
The people leaders that completed Epoch’s State of Employee Experience survey are collectively responsible for the employee experience of over 100,000 employees globally. These people and culture leaders are primarily from mid-sized, tech-based companies with a global presence, and most have headquarters in North America.
